The former Rendezvous resort on Malabar Beach, now trading as StolenTime, has become bookable through the German luxury travel platform suitespot, with nightly rates starting from 600 euros. As reported by reisetopia, guests booking the adults-only, all-inclusive property can also expect added benefits worth up to 500 euros per stay, along with personal VIP service during their visit.

The resort's story stretches back to 1948, when the Barnard family built a holiday home on a long stretch of sand near Castries. Passing travellers wandered in assuming the bar was public, guest cottages followed, and the family home grew into a hotel. It traded as Rendezvous until 2022, when it took the StolenTime name and began welcoming adults only. The Barnard family still owns and runs it, and it sits alongside their other Saint Lucian property, BodyHoliday at Cap Estate, within the SunSwept Resorts group.

StolenTime occupies a privileged spot: it is the only hotel on Malabar Beach, a three-kilometre sweep of sand beside Vigie Beach on Saint Lucia's northwest coast, on the edge of the capital. The buildings, with their red tiled roofs, are spread loosely among palm trees and tropical gardens that run down to the shore. Castries itself is close by, while Rodney Bay and Gros Islet lie a short drive north.

Around 100 rooms and suites look out over the gardens, the pools or the sea, and some ground-floor rooms open straight onto the sand. At the top of the range sit the two-level Signature Beachfront Suites, furnished with mahogany and fitted with freestanding bathtubs. Light colours and Caribbean accents run through the decor across the resort, placing it comfortably among the luxury hotels in St Lucia while retaining the feel of a family-built beach house rather than a corporate block.

The dining options range from the Malabar Beach Club, where tables sit in the sand, to the Terrace Restaurant beside the water. In the evenings a pianist plays in the Champagne Bar, and the kitchen works with the day's catch and island-grown ingredients. That emphasis on fresh fish and local produce reflects a wider strength of food and rum in St Lucia, which has become a draw in its own right for visitors.

The spa sits in a water garden and includes an ayurvedic centre, with yoga, Pilates and tai chi on the programme. Swimmers can choose between a lap pool, a pool with a swim-up bar and a lazy river winding between loungers. A PADI dive centre, watersports, a gym and tennis courts round out the facilities.

Many activities, including dives, cookery classes and guided walks, are bundled into the rate as so-called Stolen Moments. That inclusive approach puts the resort among the all-inclusive resorts in St Lucia where meals, drinks and a full activity programme are covered, and for anyone considering diving in St Lucia, having a PADI base on site with dives already paid for is a genuine convenience.

For visitors, the location is practical as well as pretty. George F. L. Charles airport sits only a few minutes away, right beside the resort, while Hewanorra International in the south is about an hour and a half by road. That makes it one of the more convenient hotels in St Lucia for anyone booking flights to St Lucia who wants to be on the beach soon after landing.

The resort also works as a base for exploring further afield. From Castries it is an easy journey to the Pitons and the rainforest of the island's interior, and the island's southeast coast around Soufriere offers some of the most memorable beaches in St Lucia for day trips. Anyone weighing up how many days in St Lucia to allow might note that the resort's included activities, from diving to hiking in St Lucia's interior, could comfortably fill a longer stay.

As an adults-only house, StolenTime is not the choice for family holidays in St Lucia with young children, but it suits couples, friends, solo travellers and older families with grown-up children. Its beachfront setting and spa focus also make it a natural pick for a honeymoon in St Lucia, a role the property has played under its previous name for decades.

Suitespot's other Saint Lucian options include Jade Mountain and Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort, both in the southwest of the island near Soufriere directly below the Pitons. The specific benefits at each property vary by hotel and brand and are confirmed during the booking process by the platform's advisers, with details visible to logged-in premium members, whose membership costs 99 euros a year.

For now, the news is straightforward: one of Saint Lucia's longest-established beachfront resorts, with more than seventy years of family history behind it, is now easier to book from Europe with added perks attached. StolenTime continues to run its full programme of wellness, dining and included activities on Malabar Beach under the Barnard family's stewardship.
